Computational Fluid Dynamic methods have been long used in the aerospace industry to predict in-flight characteristics of military and commercial aircraft, as well as missiles and space vehicles. CFD simulations provide critical design information such as lift, drag, and thermal loads. CAESIM includes advanced capabilities for aerodynamic analysis of bodies in turbulent compressible flows, including chemical combustion with finite-rate chemistry.
CAESIM simulates the highly compressible, chemically reactive, turbulent flow field around aircraft in the hypersonic flow regimes.
